Custom Laser Cutting

Every uploaded file is reviewed after purchase. If Kustomizables must modify the artwork to make it production-ready, a $10 file-preparation invoice is required before production. File preparation includes one additional customer-requested adjustment; further adjustments are $5 each.

Every order receives a PNG proof/mockup. You have 10 calendar days from the date the proof is sent to respond. After 10 days with no response, the order is considered abandoned with no refund or remake.

Final proof approval authorizes immediate production. A post-approval change may be requested within 24 hours of approval for $5 only if production has not already begun. Approval does not place production on hold.

Orders may be cancelled only within 24 hours of original order placement. After 24 hours, orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable because material may have been ordered and file review or pre-production work may have begun.

If a required file-preparation fee is declined, that does not reopen the cancellation window. Production will not begin until all required balances are paid and the PNG proof is approved.

If Kustomizables determines during file review that a design cannot reasonably or safely be produced as ordered, we will first offer a workable alternative when available. If the alternative costs more, the difference must be paid before production. If it costs less, the affected difference will be adjusted or refunded. If no workable alternative exists or the customer declines it, the affected order will be refunded, subject to rights required by applicable law.

Standard production time is 7–10 business days after final proof approval and all required payments are received. Time spent waiting for customer responses, revisions, payment, or proof approval is not part of the production window.

Accepted file types are SVG, DXF, PNG, JPG and JPEG, with a maximum file size of 10 MB. PDF files are not accepted. SVG is preferred.

A file is not automatically laser-ready because it is an SVG. Production-ready artwork must use clean usable vector paths where applicable, outlined text, clear operation intent, and the production colors shown above. Red #FF0000 is cut, blue #0000FF is score, and black #000000 is engrave. Special instructions that contradict the file's colors or fills require file preparation.

Normal production setup such as proportional resizing, rotation, positioning and machine settings is included and is not considered file preparation.

PNG proofs are for approval only. Editable, vector, SVG or laser-ready production files are not automatically included with an order or with the $10 file-preparation service.

If Kustomizables prepares or adjusts a file and you want the final laser-ready SVG released, a $10 Production File Release fee applies. Released files are licensed for personal production. A one-time $10 Kustomizables Commercial License tied to the customer account permits eligible released files to be used to create physical products for resale. Digital files may never be sold, shared, redistributed, sublicensed or otherwise distributed.

This service provides raw laser-cut components, not finished products. Kustomizables does not sand, paint, stain, seal, glaze, glue, assemble, layer, install hardware or accessories, or otherwise finish pieces ordered through this calculator. Selected DualTite or 3M 468MP adhesive backing is the only exception.

Basic production cleanup is included. Acrylic masking is removed before delivery or pickup. Acrylic is supplied with the laser-cut edge as produced; flame polishing, buffing, sanding and additional edge finishing are not offered.

Laser-cut wood naturally has darkened or charred edges and may show minor laser marks. These are normal characteristics of laser cutting and are not considered defects. Loose residue and engraving dust are cleared as normal production cleanup.

Material appearance can vary between production batches and between digital swatches/photos and the physical material. Wood grain, tone, pattern and shade can vary. Acrylic color and finish can also vary slightly.

DualTite and 3M 468MP backing, when purchased, are applied to the material before cutting and arrive on the backs of the finished pieces. Customer-supplied materials are not accepted.

Shipping is available to the contiguous 48 United States only. Shipping is $9.95 for quantities 1–20 and $20 for 21+ total pieces ordered. Free local pickup is available at checkout.

Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of carrier-confirmed delivery with photos of the affected pieces and packaging. The standard remedy for a valid shipping-damage claim is replacement of the affected pieces.

Carrier transit and delivery are outside Kustomizables' control after the parcel is transferred to the carrier. Lost-package or delivery claims must be filed with the carrier. Orders returned because of an incorrect or incomplete customer-provided address require payment of a new shipping charge before reshipment.

Local pickup orders must be collected within 30 days of the ready-for-pickup notification. After 30 days, the order is considered abandoned with no refund or remake.

You must own the uploaded artwork or have the necessary permission or license to reproduce it. By submitting an order, you confirm that Kustomizables may use the uploaded artwork solely as needed to review, proof and produce your order.
